For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher, have a family and enjoy life. Born in the midwest in Peoria, IL to two parents who immigrated from Greece, the values of education, family and hard work were quickly instilled into me and my two brothers. Now as a wife and
mother, my husband and I continue showing the importance of these values to our two amazing daughters.
I graduated from Eureka College with my Bachelors in Education and then received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. I’ve always wanted to work with students but I haven’t taken the traditional paths. I have worked as a college admissions counselor, been a public elementary classroom teacher both in IL and in FL, a stay at home Mom and a substitute teacher from preschool through eighth grade including the arts and physical education. I’m so very excited to now have the opportunity to utilize these diverse skills at Acton Academy Palm Harbor.
As a family, we like to do things that highlight our children’s creativity and healthy living. Often, with our rescue dog Luna in tow, we enjoy going to our local markets to see and hear the arts and try the tasty food. Outside of visiting family we’ve tried to travel more throughout the U.S. We’ve
enjoyed visiting quite a bit of the northeast, midwest and southeast and look forward to soon adding travels throughout our west and internationally as well. Showing the importance of family, kindness, different cultures, and the love of learning are values we try to instill in our day to day lives.
All of my life experiences so far have now brought me to my new adventure with Acton Academy Palm Harbor. I am extremely honored and excited to embark on our new Hero’s Journey together.
