At Acton Academy Palm Harbor, we believe that each child has a gift that can change the world in a profound way.
Our MISSION is to inspire each person who enters our doors to find a calling that will change the world.
To make a connection with passions that evolve into a calling, our learning experiences focus on learning to be, learning to do and learning to learn. We help our learners focus on creativity, curiosity, kindness and selecting the learning modality that will deliver the best results for each individual.
We also believe in doing meaningful work now. There is no need to wait until adulthood to contribute to our community. Several of our Eagles put this belief into action when we volunteered at FEAST, our local food pantry.
In contrast, the traditional factory model of education is built around learning to know, or the memorization of facts. The traditional model labels some children as “gifted,” with a heavy emphasis on IQ scores.
